Information we collect
- Enquiries and booking requests: your name, phone number, email address, the vehicle and dates you are interested in, and anything you write in your message.
- When you hire: the details we need to arrange and manage your hire, such as your address, date of birth, driving licence details and checks, proof of identity and address, payment details, and records of your hire, including any damage, fines or charges.
- When you use the website: technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit. See our cookies page.
How we use it and why
- To answer your enquiry and arrange your hire (taking steps to enter into, and carrying out, a contract with you).
- To meet our legal obligations, for example keeping accounting records, dealing with insurers, and dealing with the police, DVLA or local authorities about fines and offences committed during a hire.
- To run and improve our business and website, prevent fraud and protect our vehicles (our legitimate interests).
- To send you offers by email or text, only where you have agreed to this. You can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We only share it where needed with:
- service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host, email provider and hire management software provider;
- our insurers, breakdown provider and professional advisers;
- the police, DVLA, local authorities, parking and toll operators, or other bodies where the law requires it or to deal with fines and offences during your hire.
Some of our service providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure suitable safeguards are in place.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not lead to a hire for up to 12 months. We keep hire records for up to 6 years after the hire ends, to meet our legal, insurance and accounting obligations. After that, we delete or anonymise them.
Your rights
